The Law Offices of Michael H. Kane is a boutique law firm specializing in real estate transactions, landlord/tenant litigation, and estate planning.
While real estate transactions and litigation are the firm's forte, the firm also assists clients with estate planning, preparing wills and trusts, to handle real and personal property considerations - a necessary part of property owneship.
Over the years the firm has also become well acquainted with the incorporation and organization of corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, and non-profit organizations.
In addition to real estate transactions in New York State, Michael and his team have assisted clients in purchasing and refinancing properties throughout the country from Pottsville, Pennsylvania to Lake Worth, Florida to Richland Hills, Texas, in addition to properties in Missouri, Ohio, New Jersey, Louisiana, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.

Seth G. Kagan
Seth Kagan, a recent graduate from Pace University School of Law, has experience with environmental law issues, including environmental consulting. Recently returning from a brief foray in international environmental law with an Non -Governmental Organization in Germany, Seth Kagan has returned to the Law Offices with new vigor, bringing a different background to the firm for clients interested in brownfield redevelopment, or those who want to distance themselves from such responsibility all together.

For more than thirty (30) years Michael Kane has been practicing law as the proprietor of his own office (employing as many as five (5) attorneys). Beginning his career as a law clerk for a New York State judge, after graduating from Brooklyn Law School, Michael Kane was taught how to think steps ahead of other lawyers, after learning how matters appear in the courtroom.
Michael has represented owners of real property in New York City and State in all aspects of ownership including litigation in New York State Supreme Court, the Civil Court of the City of New York (including landlord tenant actions) and the Southern and Eastern District Federal Courts. Michael has also represented building owners, developers, cooperatives, individual lenders, individual purchasers/borrowers, lending institutions (including major banks) in many hundreds of purchase, sale, financing and refinancing transactions. Michael Kane advises his clients truthfully and honestly, avoiding frivolous litigation and unnecessary expense.
Jonathan D. Golby
Jonathan Golby, a graduate of New York University School of Law, has over 30 years of experience in matrimonial law and landlord/tenant litigation. Jonathan Golby brings a streamlined approach to his clients, making sure that hypothetical situations and expenses are kept to a minimum and the matter is completed quickly. Having a strong backbone, Jonathan is the firm's fiercest attorney, who handles the most troublesome matters.
